Marc Kallweit is a third-generation photographer with 30 years of professional experience based in northern California. Marc specializes in large-ensemble panoramic portraits, editorial, corporate and environmental portraiture, lifestyle, government, law and entertainment. His work has been published in The New York Times, Rolling Stone, Vogue, Forbes, The Fader, and Sactown Magazine. Key clients include Intel, the California State Senate and Assembly, Nevada State Assembly, Walt Disney Company, Westfield Galleria, Jamie Foxx, United Natural Foods, Inc., Wells Fargo, Elektra Records, Tower Records.
In 1999, Marc's talent earned him an apprenticeship in New York City with Annie Leibovitz during the production of her book, Women. While living in NYC, he also worked with world-renowned photographers Norman Jean Roy and Danielle Levitt, managed Drive In Studios in Manhattan's Chelsea district, and served as a sales consultant at FotoCare, a premier pro shop for some of New York's elite photographers.
Legislative TenureFor 22 years, Marc has served as a contracted photographer for the California State Legislature. He is responsible for documenting the second-largest legislative body in the United States - an institution representing nearly 40 million people and surpassed in scale only by the U.S. Congress.
